Could Google's decision to prohibit posting have anything to do with the
recent outbreak of spam. I participate in two other unmoderated groups. One
hasn't yet been flooded by spam and the other one always was. Google makes
money from advertising and maybe they don't want people freeloading by
spamming unmoderated groups.

I was wondering something similar. There is an option to report a post as spam, and to report messages as abuse, but then they have to have people process these complaints. This takes time and money for something they don`t make money off of.

Now there a appears to be a problem for me scrolling through posts to get to the bottom to hit "send".

I hit “reply” when I can't scroll to read. That brings up the post as ready to respond to, and I read it that way. I can then decide to exit or actually reply.

I've used that same trick too. A work around, not a real solution. But we only have two months left so who cares?

You don't have to wait, you can go ahead and quit now.

You've claimed that the "A.B.C.D." in the Autopsy Report is the

Yet you refuse time and time again from QUOTING the preceding

You've also claimed that the prosectors dissected the throat wound.

Why do you continue to refuse to cite any evidence for this?

Why have you CONSISTENTLY run away each time I raise this issue?

Now you've quite stupidly insisted that the bullet entered JFK's back,
and exited the back of his head.

More cowardice, more stupidity, more dishonesty.

Are you proud of yourself?

One thing I found out when Google was preventing me from posting under my old account is that it is almost impossible to
get a hold of someone for one-on-one support. I think I finally got a chat session but it wouldn't surprise me if AI was
responding to me. It never did give me a resolution to my problem and I finally decided to solve it myself by creating a new
account. I'm discovering that is becoming more and more common with lots of businesses. It used to be you could click on
Contact Us and have a choice of phone, email, or chat support. Now you're lucky if you find a Contact Us link.

I think that banner announcing the end of new contact has shoved everything else down so you can't scroll to the last few
lines on the page. I discovered I could get to the Post Message button if I reduced the page size to 75%.

Of course, if you weren't so cheap, this problem wouldn't be a
problem.

Yellowpanties is dumb enough to pay for the privilege of deleting arguments for which he has intelligent response.

Poor Benny. Come February 15, nobody is going to have nobody to come out and play. What's he going to do then?

Or, of course, if you understood what "Dismiss" means in English, you
could solve your problem with a single click.

Too bad Corbutt already ran away...

Maybe Huckster could use a clue...

Chickenshit is TERRIFIED of this simple honest question. He knows
that Bugliosi was a moron if he truly thought this... yet you can't
get Chickenshit to publicly acknowledge that Bugliosi said this.

It's a simple "Yes" or "No" question, and Chickenshit cannot cite
where he has EVER answered it. (Without immediately denying it.)

So it's going to keep getting asked until Chickenshit answers it.

Effective Spam filtering has been around for a long time, so forum spam shouldn't be hard to remove in the background.

I'm more inclined to believe that Google can't monetize Usenet enough to want to support it. They may intend to do away with groups altogether in the end, and ditching nntp is just the first step.
