Group SPAM

Well whether those of you who have Newsreaders can see it or not, Google Groups now shows more SPAM (COMPLETELY unrelated to the assassination) than content that is. Is anyone else having this problem with a New Reader or is it solely a Google Groups issue.

At any rate, since Google Groups allows neither blocking nor filtering, its so bad I need to find a cheap alternative as this it is now becoming difficult to find legit content from advertising if possible.

The last few months have been strange on google groups. Don went to the Education Forum because he thought they were picking on him. Corbett had to make a new account. Gil accused me of giving people viruses. Maybe google figured that they weren`t getting revenue out of the newsgroups and decided to do something about it.

I brought this up about a week ago and Giltardo blamed me for bringing attention to it. He thinks we wouldn't have all this
spam if I had ignored it. Giltardo is not very good at figuring things out.

I have Google Groups so I can't answer whether it is unique to those using Google. I am curious as to why this has just
recently become a problem. What has changed that has suddenly brought all this spam. The other unmoderated group I
participate in isn't subject to the spam. We do have one or more assholes who just swamp post with pages and pages of
irrelevant posts, always with a different name. The most prolific poster usually has an anti-Semitic rant.
